250 MEMBERS STRONG
Today, the goals and purposes of the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang have remained unchanged. The 250 members must maintain a membership in the Odessa Chamber of Commerce, must pay extra "Gang" dues, buy their own brown and white uniforms right down to the western hats and cowboy boots, pay their own expenses and promote goodwill for Odessa and Texas.
The Gang has only one paid employee, the Executive Secretary. The rest of the membership is made up of volunteers composed of Odessa businessmen. Prospective members are screened and voted on by the Gang's board of directors after being recommended by members.
